LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to reveal the core contracts of national team players.
According to the board, the number of players who have signed contracts and their respective categories will be kept private.
The PCB stated that contracts given under various tracks will not be made public, and that the number of signed players and their distribution is a subject of selection policy.
The board has also implemented particular domestic cricket standards for centrally contracted players. Depending on their contract level, players will be expected to play a certain amount of first-class, List A, and T20 matches.
According to sources, players have been notified of their domestic cricket duties, with centrally contracted players potentially obliged to play up to five first-class matches and ten List A games.
Players have also been told to be available for domestic cricket when there are no international commitments. Those with central contracts will be able to represent Pakistan in all three forms.
According to sources, players from any contract category might be called up to the national team at any time.
