Saim Ayub heads to London for urgent treatment after ankle injury

CAPE TOWN (Speaks) – Saim Ayub, the national cricket team’s opener, has gone from Cape Town to London for medical treatment. He is accompanied by Azhar Mahmood, an assistant coach.

Saim Ayub will be evaluated by famous sports orthopedists in England on Wednesday, as directed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Naqvi stressed that Saim Ayub was a vital asset to Pakistan cricket and that all available resources will be used to heal him. He also prayed for Ayub’s full recovery.

It is worth noting that Saim Ayub fractured his right ankle while fielding on the first day of the second Test against South Africa, keeping him out of sport for six weeks.
