He Lifeng, the vice premier of China, will touch down in Pakistan today to begin a three-day visit to mark the CPEC’s 10th anniversary.

The Chinese vice premier will be visit Pakistan from July 30 (today) to August 1 (Tuesday), the Foreign Office (FO) stated on Saturday, to serve as the principal guest at a ceremony commemorating CPEC’s tenth anniversary.

He Lifeng would meet with both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Dr. Arif Alvi during his stay.

The Belt and Road Initiative, of which CPEC is a flagship project, and China’s foreign economic connections have benefited greatly from Vice Premier He Lifeng.
He played a key role in the development and implementation of several CPEC projects in Pakistan while serving as the Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (2017–2023).
According to the foreign office, Pakistan and China frequently exchange high-level visits and conversation, emphasizing the significance of their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
The FO statement said, “These trips are also meant to reaffirm support for each other’s basic interests, improve economic and financial cooperation, push the high-quality development of CPEC, and explore new avenues for deepening bilateral ties.
