Dhaka — The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) established the Pakistan-Bangladesh Joint Business Council here on Monday.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the formation of the Joint Business Council was signed by Atif Ikram Sheikh, president of the FPCCI, and Md. Hafizur Rahman, administrator of the FBCCI, in the presence of Syed Ahmed Maroof, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh.

The Joint company Council will provide a venue for the sharing of trade and investment information, the coordination of company delegations, and corporate involvement in trade shows in both countries, according to a statement from the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.

It will also manage various projects aimed at boosting economic cooperation and maximizing mutual progress.
