Whatsapp

This change was identified in the most recent WhatsApp beta version for Android, 2.25.1.27.

The new Meta AI widget is intended to improve convenience and simplicity of use. Once the functionality is available, users will be able to begin discussions with Meta AI right from their home screen. This eliminates the need to launch WhatsApp and traverse its UI to initiate a chat.

One of the most appealing aspects of the new widget is its ability to instantly snap and share photographs with Meta AI. Users will be able to utilize this tool to ask the AI for help with activities like as photo editing, content analysis, and answering image-related questions.

While the widget will allow rapid access to Meta AI, it will only be available to those who have previously used AI-powered conversations. This capability is currently limited to particular countries and people, so not everyone will be able to use the widget when it opens.

The widget will appear among other accessible WhatsApp widgets, and users will be able to add it to their home screens. WhatsApp wants to make interactions with Meta AI more accessible and natural, allowing users to instantly start tasks like photo editing or content discovery without having to open the app.

WhatsApp is also working on a feature that will allow users to develop and customize their own AI chatbots within the service. This new tool will allow users to design their AI companions’ personalities, objectives, and duties, adapting their behavior to meet specific demands such as motivation or organization.

The Meta AI widget is still under development and is scheduled to be published in the following weeks. WhatsApp has not announced a precise launch date, but the addition promises to improve the overall user experience by making Meta AI technologies more accessible and responsive.
